A Little Information About Us

The Disabilities Advocacy and Support Network (The Network), is a parent run support organization.  The primary goal of The Network is to provide emotional and educational support, awareness within the community, and a therapeutic social outlet for individuals with development disabilities and their families. The Network has been in existence since 1976 and began as Pilot Parents.  We serve the following counties in Missouri: Christian, Dallas, Douglas, Greene, Hickory, Laclede, Ozark, Polk, Stone, Taney, Webster, and Wright.

Our Programs

Community Outreach: Provide information to bring parents, schools, and members of the community together to maximize capabilities and the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. We provide support, information, and a forum to advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

Recovering Wishes for Families: To provide some basic everyday items for people with developmental disabilities and those caring for them.

Parent to Parent: Guide families through their journey with interaction and support by connecting families with other families and support systems.

Essential Lifestyle Planning: Help families develop a plan with their child that will support the child at home, at school, and in life. This offers parents and others involved an opportunity to learn about the child in a positive and person-centered way. This offers an opportunity to build partnerships between people who are supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.

Respite: To provide the primary care giver resources to obtain reliable, safe, and secure respite.
